दून प्रेस क्लब की बैठक अध्यक्ष संजीव शर्मा की अध्यक्षता में स्थानीय विश्रामगृह में संपन्न हुई। इस मौके पर क्लब ने निर्णय लिया गया कि 7 दिसंबर को दून प्रेस क्लब के नए अध्यक्ष का चुनाव होगा और नई कार्यकारिणी का गठन भी किया जाएगा।
दून प्रेस क्लब हर साल नया प्रधान चुनता है ताकि सभी को काम करने का मौका मिल सके।
इस अवसर पर राष्ट्रीय प्रेस दिवस भी मनाया गया। जिसमें सभी ने अपने अपने विचार व्यक्त किया। इस मौके पर प्रधान ने कहा कि 1956 में प्रेस काउंसिल ऑफ़ इंडिया का गठन हुआ था तब से हर वर्ष 16 नवंबर को प्रेस दिवस मनाया जाता है।
इस मौके पर पूर्व अध्यक्ष श्यामलाल पुंडीर और दिनेश ठाकुर ने कहा कि आज पत्रकारों के सामने कई चुनौतियां हैं फिर भी कलम के सिपाई अपनी अहम भूमिका निभा रहे है।
इस मौके पर मुकेश चौधरी ने कहा कि प्रेस दिवस पत्रकारों को गौरव दिवस महसूस करवाता है इस दिन पत्रकार की पहचान दिवस है। इस मौके पर राजेश कुमार, प्रीति चौहान, रोबिन और रवीना का क्लब में स्वागत किया गया।
इस मौके पर मुकेश रमौल, नरेंद्र सैनी, मंजीत सिंह, गुरविंदर आदि मौजूद थे।
