पांवटा साहिब (सिरमौर)। वर्ल्ड बैंक और केंद्रीय सड़क परिवहन एवं राजमार्ग मंत्रालय का संयुक्त दल वीरवार को राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग 707 के निरीक्षण के लिए पहुंचा। इस दौरान टीम ने पांवटा साहिब से फेडीज पुल तक सड़क निर्माण के कार्य की गुणवत्ता और सुरक्षा का आकलन किया।
इस दौरान टीम ने जिन स्थानों पर हादसों की संख्या बढ़ रही है, उन स्थानों को सुरक्षित करने के लिए निर्माण कार्य कर रही निजी कंपनियों की ओर से किए गए सुरक्षा उपायों को विस्तृत तरीके से जांचा। साथ ही टीम ने सड़क दुर्घटनाओं की रोकथाम के लिए प्रभावी कदम उठाने के लिए निजी कंपनियों को सख्त निर्देश भी दिए गए।
निरीक्षण दल ने सड़क में दुर्घटना संभावित विभिन्न स्थानों पर रेडियम युक्त चमचमाते चेतावनी संकेत वाले बोर्ड लगाने की सख्त हिदायत दी और इसके अलावा जिन स्थानों पर दुर्घटनाएं पेश आई हैं, उन स्थानों पर सड़क की चौड़ाई को जांचा गया और दुर्घटना के कारणों पर उपस्थित अभियंताओं के साथ विस्तृत चर्चा की गई।
